Dynamic Environments: 06 reasons to include in your projects

Ergonomics offers you several technical arguments, mainly related to physiological bases that generate a significant differentiation in the market, in addition to directing your details to the project based on short, medium and long term benefits ...

In corporate projects including hospital, educational and commercial, prioritizing postural alternation is fundamental for comfort, since our body needs movement and in fact our body was made for movement :)

So I would like to presen to you 06 reasons to design dynamic environments that favor the alternation of posture:

1. Circulation

Our heart pumps our blood, but venous return is only possible through muscle contraction, especially in the calf. When we remain standing in the same posture, whether standing or sitting, our blood does not flow freely, the venous return is impaired and in this way we feel tired and with low productivity.

2.Abdomen

Unconsciously, regardless of our desire when we sit down, our abdomen relaxes with this relaxation the pressure in the spine increases. For this reason it is very important that we can contract our abdomen in a sitting position and again here the importance of alternating the posture, because when we are standing our abdomen also unconsciously contracts and thus we are able to relieve the pressure in the spine.
Maintaining the habit of contracting the abdomen is also essential to improve your health and maintain productivity during your work period.

3. Maintaining the curvature of our spine

Our spine has physiological curvatures that are important for maintaining our balance and the dynamics of the spine, which is why it is very important to maintain the curvatures of our spine.
When we alternate our posture, we dynamize and favor the curvatures of our spine.

4.Muscle Weakness

When we remain in the same posture, we always recruit the same muscle groups.
Let me give you an example:
The sitting position the abdomen is relaxed, the trapezius contracts mainly when we perform stressful activities or with a high degree of responsibility, when we position the shoulders in front of the pectoral musculature it is shortened ... consequently all the mechanics of our body are altered ...
For this reason it is so important to alternate our posture, exercising our activities in different positions so we work with other muscle groups, tendons and ligaments.

5. Monotony

Over time, tasks tend to be monotonous due mainly to our physical and mental fatigue. When we remain in the same posture, tasks tend to become more monotonous, more stressful and less productive ....

6. Decreased Productivity

Staying still = decreased productivity
Keeping on the move, alternating our posture for all the factors that we talked about previously generates an increase in productivity.
So you want to be more productive: get moving.

Do you want to see your client more productive: carry out projects with dynamic environments;)
